Carmen Olivares is an attorney with the Business & Real Estate Department at Brown & Streza, LLP. Carmen focuses her practice on a wide range of matters, including entity formation, business transactions, real estate transactions, and various commercial transactions, such as purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and lease agreements. She has extensive experience working with companies in the franchise and brand consumer products industry, providing strategic advice through various stages of their brand’s life cycle.
Carmen earned her Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law. In law school, she participated in the USC Immigration Clinic and volunteered with Public Counsel’s Children’s Rights Project. She was also a teaching assistant for the legal analysis of evidence and was elected as a 1L Class Representative in the Student Bar Association.
Carmen is a native Spanish speaker and moved 12 times around the country as the daughter of a U.S. Marine. Outside of the office, she is an avid skateboarder, surfer, and backpacker, bringing a unique perspective and dynamic energy to her work.
