About Amelia Tidwell, J.D., LL.M.

Amelia Tidwell is an attorney in the Tax, Trusts, and Estates department of Brown & Streza, LLP, where her practice is focused on Foundational Estate Planning. She crafts trusts and enacts wealth transfer and tax savings plans that are unique for each client’s family and goals.

Prior to working at Brown & Streza, Amelia served residents of and around Ventura County at a law firm in Camarillo, creating estate plans and administering their loved ones’ trusts and estates.

Amelia earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami.  At Pepperdine, Amelia was a teaching assistant for Contract Law, earned the CALI Award for Negotiation Theory and Practice, and was selected as the 2023 Pepperdine Heckerling Fellow due to her passion for and excellence in trust and estate studies.

Before her career in estate planning, Amelia was a French-trained pastry chef and later studied history, political philosophy, and German literature.  She has a love of learning; Amelia served as a committee clerk for the Texas Senate Committee on Education and was recognized as a Bullock Scholar by the Texas Legislature.  Amelia’s eclectic background and interests enables her to bring a unique perspective to her work.

In her free time, Amelia still puts her pastry degree to use crafting recipes for friends with unique dietary needs and making cakes for weddings, birthdays, and baby showers.  She enjoys traveling and outdoor activities with her two dogs, Goose and Monkey Bread, who have hiked with her in seven states thus far.
